A note from me to you

The UV Chaser was born from many years in the retail industry, as well as a very personal journey with my skin.

Having been a sun lover my whole life, I never used to take care of my skin. It was only until my late 20’s that all the damage I had done started appearing. Being an avid beauty consumer with a thirst to try what’s new, one can safely say I have tried and tested every product, every procedure, and ingredient on the market. Going into retail stores/pharmacies, much of the time, sales associates would push products with little knowledge of what I use, what my concerns were, and without any insight into my lifestyle. As a retail professional, it was very difficult navigating this space of recruitment profiling, incentivisation, and personalised customer service (for various reasons beyond my control as an employee).

"As a consumer, I was purchasing and trying without a clear understanding of what the ingredients were and how each was affecting my skin".

On the other side of the spectrum, with dermatologists, it was procedure after procedure, trialling out whatever the industry released. When it came to products to use at home, it was whatever the doctor wrote down and told me to use – again, without any explanation of why I needed that product. It was always brand based and not ingredient based.

Delving into the world of formulations and ingredients left me with a deeper understanding of what I really needed in terms of key ingredients

Fast forward 10+ years – The UV Chaser is my way of giving back to you by understanding your lifestyle, assessing what you use, recommending what you need, and helping you make educated purchasing decisions that suit you – at any stage of your skin’s cycle.

Client Agreement:

I acknowledge that I have provided complete and accurate information and understand that it will be used to assess my suitability for any skincare suggests and supplemental treatments. I understand that it is my responsibility to inform the skincare consultant of any changes to my medical history or skincare routine and that they are not responsible to tend to any medical conditions of which I will have to consult with medical expert. I agree to waive all liabilities of the consultant for any injuries or damages incurred due to misrepresentation of my health history.

Cancellation:

At The UV Chaser, we strive to provide an exceptional standard of care. In order to achieve this, we kindly request your cooperation in adhering to our cancellation policy.

We understand that life can be unpredictable and unexpected circumstances may arise. However, we kindly ask that you provide us with at least 5 days notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Your deposit will be refunded or applied to a new appointment.

Please ensure that you cancel 5 days before your scheduled appointment via the order confirmation email . Any bookings cancelled after that time limit are subject to a 20% penalty .

While we understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, a missed appointment where no notice is given not only affects our ability to serve other clients but also results in lost time and resources. The full cost of the service is charged for these appointments.

We value your time as well as the time of our other clients. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, we may need to reschedule your session or shorten the treatment duration. The full price of the originally scheduled appointment will still apply.

We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in honoring our cancellation policy to ensure that each client receives the attention and quality service they deserve.

I acknowledge that I have been informed about the possible benefits, risks, and complications associated with the skincare recommendations. I understand that while every effort has been made to explain these potential outcomes, it is impossible to list every possible risk and benefit.

I am aware that there is no guarantee of treatment results, which are dependent on several factors, such as my individual skin type, lifestyle, medical conditions , and consistency . I acknowledge that I may require months of consistency in both my skincare and lifestyle to achieve the desired results.

I will read the post-consultation instructions provided and I understand the importance of adhering to these instructions for optimal results , and minimizing any adverse effects. If I have any questions regarding the post-treatment instructions or treatment, I will consult the skincare consultant immediately for clarification.

I certify that to the best of my knowledge, I have provided complete and accurate information about my medical history, including any known allergies, current prescriptions, and any topical treatments I am currently using.

By signing below, I confirm that I have been fully informed of the potential risks, benefits, and complications and I voluntarily agree to engage in the consultation and the recommendations thereafter . I will have the opportunity to ask questions, and all my concerns be addressed to my satisfaction. I release The UV Chaser from any liability or claims arising from the consultation, except those directly caused by negligence or intentional misconduct.
